Retirement & Own Income (D7 Visa)
Pensioners, retired international citizens or other immigrants living from a stable income stream, such as transferable equity, real estate, intellectual property, or financial investments are permitted to apply for a special visa.
What is required to qualify?
Single applicants need to generate and provide proof of a passive derived income of at least €705 per month. Additional €352,5 per month is required for the dependant adult and for children under 18 equals €211,5 per month.
The D7 holders can obtain a residency permit valid for 2 years, which can be renewed for 3 years, and after 5 years, can apply for the Portuguese citizenship.
